The programmes of Strides Foundation are directed at two key constituents – underprivileged communities around our manufacturing facilities and a section of our employees.
We have partnered with PeoplePro Trainers & Consultants, Bangalore to run a leadership programme at Government Higher Primary School, Gottigere, Bannerghatta, Bangalore that caters to 250 underprivileged children.
Employees of Strides are actively engaged in providing life and vocation skills training, academic coaching and mentoring to students and teacher training to the faculty of the school, besides educational programmes for parents. In addition, employees participate in celebrating important events and festivals with the students. All employees of Strides are encouraged to devote a minimum of 8 hours a year to these outreach programmes.
To encourage and enable children of Strides' employees to pursue their dreams and ambitions, Educational Scholarships for deserving children are routed through the Foundation. These are provided at the high school and secondary school level.
Health awareness and check up camps are periodically organised by the Foundation for communities around Strides' manufacturing facilities.
Medical grants are made available to certain sections of employees for medical emergencies and exigencies that are not covered by their ESI eligibility or are beyond their group health insurance coverage.
